NIMONIC®alloy 901 (UNS N09901/W.Nr. 2.4662) isan age-hardenable Ni-Fe-Cr superalloy withsignificant additions of molybdenum, titanium andaluminum.The alloying route for this high-performance material may include combinations ofvacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting andelectroslag remelting, according to the final applicationand the customer’s specification. Typically, the alloy isused for gas turbine engine discs, shafts, rings, casingsand seals with a maximum service temperature ofaround 600°C (1100°F).
