Nimonic 81
NIMONIC®alloy 81 is a wrought nickel alloy hardenedby controlled additions of titanium and aluminum, anddesigned to provide enhanced resistance to hightemperature corrosion coupled with good hightemperature strength. It has excellent hot corrosion resistance due to itshigh chromium content. Elevated temperature strengthcharacteristics are similar to those of NIMONIC alloy80A. Melting, hot-working, cold-working andmachining practices are also broadly similar to those forNIMONIC alloy 80A.
